I was listening to NPR this morning and heard a great idea.
A man who owns a small construction company in Chicago (which is currently racked with -40 degree wind chills) turned Mother Nature’s cold shoulder into a fantastic advertising opportunity.
He called each of his clients to check see how they were faring in the cold and give great tips on how to keep their water pipes from freezing. That’s it.
Each one of his clients got a personal call that said, ‘Hey, remember us? We’re still around, we care about you, and we’re experts in what we do.’ His company is now the forefront of every one of his clients’ minds because of that one simple, caring, genius gesture.
Now THAT’s good business!
